A. Principles

1. The prayer of the forsaken recognizes and accepts times of seeming absence and abandonment of God.

2. The prayer of the forsaken rejoices in the knowledge that the barrenness of the soul produces character.

3. The prayer of the forsaken releases our pain and despair into the hands of God.

B. Practices

1. Begin with complaint.

2. Release your life and those you love into God’s hands.

3. Keep on seeking, knocking, and asking.

4. Continue doing what you know how to do.
