Circle Drive Alliance Church is offering wellness classes without charge. Most required equipment for the programming is provided on site. A completed Par-Q and participant waiver form; in addition to an ongoing commitment to your own health, wellness and personal growth are the only requirements to participate.

Come out and join us! Have fun, learn new skills, get and/or stay fit, bring a buddy or make new friends!

There is no cost to participate.

Practical, martial arts based self defense and fitness training for women of all ages

Veil / Poi & Boot Camp (co-ed) PDF Print E-mail

Programming begins : Monday January 23rd 2012 : 7:15 - 8:15 pm and will end Monday June 25th 2012

NOTE: Co-ed classes will alternate weekly between Veil/Poi & Boot Camp

Veil Dance & Poi :

Incorporates the use of veils and poi, classes are performed barefoot; all other equipment is provided. Both veil dance and poi provide a tremendous workout for the upper body and shoulders, increasing strength, stability and mobility. No previous dance background is required, just a love of movement. A fun workout that goes so quickly you wish it didn't last only an hour!

Boot Camp - Functional fitness training :

Incorporates the use of body weight, medicine balls, resistance bands and team partnering to create the strength and flexibility required to perform daily activities with greater ease. Be challenged without competitiveness. The program will increase aerobic capacity and balance, while helping to decrease reaction times and improve overall core stability. A fun way to sweat and get fit!

A great workout for couples. Please wear comfortable clothing and stable footwear. All other equipment is supplied.

 
Holy Yoga (co-ed) PDF Print E-mail

Tuesdays : 7 - 8 pm

Instructor : Shannon Richardt

Classes begin : Tuesday February 7th 2012 : 7 - 8 pm and will end Tuesday June 26th 2012
Cancelled : Tuesday, April 10th

No previous experience is required, the class is co-ed and non-denominational, all are welcome. Yoga mats, blocks and belts are available for up to 20 participants, if you own your own equipment, please bring it to class with you.

On Tuesday January 24th & 31st we are offering two - 2 hour workshops from 7 - 9 pm. We encourage first time participants, or those who desire further understanding of the principles of the Holy Yoga program attend these foundational workshops. The two workshops will be facilitated by Shannon Richardt and Shirley Berthelet.

Holy Yoga is a Christ centred class; the focus of which is calming the body and mind. Become more conscious with every breath, of the stillness and peace which resides in the awareness of the deep abiding presence of God in each of our lives.
